The exclusive world premiere of Here Comes Rusty will be held on April 3, 2016 in Atlanta, GA.
Appropriately, the venue of the film’s release will be Buckhead Theatre, a classic movie house and intimate theatrical venue that’s been the site of sold-out shows of every musical genre. As movie lovers traverse the Atlanta Film Festival circuit to and from destinations far and wide, the audience of luminaries will watch on the screen as Dicky St. Jon struggles to keep Magnolia Greyhound Park running in the face of a villain who, like his own father, seeks to take over the town—no matter the cost.
But this evening will be a festive red carpet affair to celebrate the achievement of director Tyler Russell and producers William Ross Smith—the film’s vital force—Hughes Smith—Pierce Wortham—and Robert Holifield who brought the movie to the screen. Also in attendance will be stars of the film including Col. Bruce Hampton, who plays Dicky, along with many special guests. Others invited to the soirée include Dicky’s band of jam rock heroes, who will take the stage after the screening to perform a set for the ages, movie heavyweights and media mainstays.
