Here Comes Rusty (2016)
Richard “Dicky” St. Jon is an aspiring musician and the reluctant owner of Magnolia Greyhound Park (MGP). Over the years, Dicky has run the track financially into the ground and nearly alienated everyone in his life.
Mak Hoffstadt is the owner of Mak’s Used Car Ranch and husband to Vicky St. Jon (Dicky’s sister). Mak has been actively trying to buy MGP for decades to finally take over Mobile.
|Vicky Hoffstadt is wife to Mak and sister to Dicky. Vicky is the accountant (and brains) for both companies.||Joey Lauren Adams|
|College is a local kid that grew up at MGP, and one of Dicky’s best friends. Despite his age, he is widely considered the smartest person in their lives—hence the name, College.||Paulie Litt|
|Bartholomew (Bart) is Dicky’s 12-year-old guitar player for their band Dicky & The Dinosaurs. Like College, MGP has served as a home for him as well.||Brandon Niederauer|
|Keith is a lifelong employee and the bartender at MGP. He has seen the rise and fall of MGP, as well as Dicky.||Lance E. Nichols|
|Oren is a self-proclaimed “gangster” who finds himself down south and working with Mak.||Mark Borchardt|
Ron is Oren’s right-hand man: the enforcer, sidekick, yes-man.
Rusty is MGP’s mascot & track lure (the greyhounds chase him around the track). Rusty once was a proud town mascot, the pride of Mobile, now the elk mascot has taken his place.
